Denver Training Group?
« on: September 27, 2008, 10:06:34 AM »
Hey, Ive been training on and off with a few friends, but Im looking for some people to consistently train with.

Are there any groups I could join in the Denver or Arvada/Westminster Area? I go to East High School, and Im downtown almost all the time, But I can get just about anywhere by Bus.

Or, would anybody like to make a group with me, possibly centered around 80th and Wadsworth? (Though, I wouldst mind a Downtown group)

80th and Wads is somewhat close to me though around 88-92 would be better for me also a bit more east maybe like sheridan?

I'm in the NW part of town (92nd and Wads.), and would definitely be interested, but my time is rather limited as I work overnights and attend school at Metro during the week.  However, I could probably work out some time on Friday afternoon or during the weekend.

I would love to, and have been meaning to for quite a while, I just haven't really had the chance. I think this friday I will for sure be down there, with a BUNCH of people from my school (I'm trying to start a PK club at school), And if we could just Kinda follow you guys around (because ive never really trained with anyone, im not sure how you all do it, workouts, etc), that would be awesome.

My main reason for starting a PK club though is because I want people to consistently train with. The only thing is, these people are all complete beginners who are interested, most of them will probably fall out in the first two weeks or so.

Im not sure.

But I am certainly going to be down there until about 6 pm, might have to bail during the middle of something

Thats ku. I go parkouring downtown once in a while.. Mostly Im parkouring near Federal and Alameda in that area.
This Thursday my friends and I are going to go downtown to parkour. We need some good footage for the administartor in our school club so were gonna go down to Civic Center and In that are. The stairs there seem a area for runns and vaulting.

I agree. Do you know of any good training places around here?

As previously mentioned, the Promenade might be a good bet.  I have found some decent spots at the shopping center on the NE corner of 88th/Wads.  (Around Home Depot and Burlington Coat Factory).  There's also some decent playgrounds in the area.

Lastly, if those aren't enought, we could probably do a scouting expedition around the area.

Cheers,

Jake would you be able to get to the promenade like one day a week or is that too far north for you?
