Fighting/Parkour workout
« on: October 06, 2008, 04:55:36 AM »
Well, i started Parkour again, and was wondering that since i wanted to start fighting, mainly MMA, if it would mess things up by doing MMA workouts...Or could i continue with Parkour workouts? what else should i do?

Thanks

Most practitioners here come from/are also training in other athletic fields. i don't see how training in MMK can "harm" your parkour. although the others could see opportunities for counter-productivity, but i'd think it would be isolated cases.

if anything it will help since you will be exposed to a high level of conditioning in MMA...

let us know your routine for MMA aside from just fighting and we can take it from there.

Just like gymnastics, MMA or most other martial arts should have a high spill over into parkour. But, like Chris suggested, post up your workout routine because the range of spill over will vary depending on what you do during each.
