Location where injury occurred -near brick sign to apartment complex
Conditions of location - nice sunny day.
What you were doing / trying to do when injury occurred? A speed vault over a five foot sign.
Where any other people involved? -No
Part of body - description of injury, rating of severity 1-10. Ankle injury. Pretty Sever. Awkward landing, rolled the ankle. 4 days later still can't walk on it.
Did you see a doctor for diagnosis? No health insurance.
Did you get X-rays or MRI's? No
Could you / how could you have avoided the injury? -Listening to advice of the pros and worked on my landings and rolls for weeks before anything else. You live you learn, eh?
Notes on the experience? I wrote this for the sole purpose of helping others avoid my foolish, hasty mistake. Take time to work on your landings and rolls first. And always, always check where you are landing before you leap. Bloody shrub! So please, learn from me. Now I have to wait a bit before I can get back to it. Not worth it. Good luck all, stay safe.
