I Don't know either to be shocked or amazed I loved your posts about cooking. I cook alot in my job normally as a food service specialist for the marines and all what you posted I tried teaching my young Privates and PFCs.
Guidelines for Salt and such forth though.
For a active training Environment in the sun the human body needs a increased electrolyte and sodium intake with at least 6 quarts of water a day at a 80*F.
The definition of a active training Environment is 30-40 minutes of exercise in a non strenuous fashion for prolonged periods of time.
For a Extremely active training Environment in the sun the human body needs to be hydrated at least 2-3 days in advance minimum with water not gatorade; With balanced meals gatorade can be a supplementary enhancement for the human during training due to the water and sodium loss.
I am not going to copy the navy marine corps order on this but its common sense if your active treat your body right.
