there are other islanders on here.. mainly a crew from Hawaii called Urban Current. i've never been to Guam.. I'm assuming it has mountains and jungle. if that's the case, you've got excellent landscape to train in. don't worry about your location. anywhere is good for parkour, but you have to learn how to utilize your surroundings. stick around these forums for a while and you will pick up useful information to get you started.

that's the spirit :)

I would advise you to look for videos of people training in natural environments and in forests. There are a number of videos like that on here which could benefit you.

I lived in guam for two years, and I also visited there for two months about a year ago. There's a fair amount of spots along Tumon Bay, in the parks, and the hotel areas. Train with care, though. Two elements work against you. First, Guam people, being very isolated, most likely have no idea what parkour is, generally speaking. Secondly, there's high levels of crime in Guam, so that is the first thing people will always assume. Be respectful. And have fun in that heat, haha.

ohhh man... dont remind me of the heat... it gets hella hot here sometimes so usually the best training time would be around 4pm unless you want to get a heat stroke
.. so whats the deal?

Yep. I lost weight just going on half hour jogs along the beach mid-day.. just from sweating. Your heart rate doesn't even need to go up.

Hafa Adai !!

i noticed there were a few asking about PK on Guam...anyways, there is a small community of about 8-10 guys who are training regularly.  i personally train on my own mostly with conditioning; once in a while i meet up with the guys.

also i am starting a PK session here at the only gymnastics gym on Guam (located in Tamuning behind Toyota dealership)

if you have a myspace add me and ill point you to our PK groups:

myspace.com/jtripvideo
myspace.com/ilovemartialartstv

we welcome all to come and train ; )

*shout out to the Urban Current Clan !! sup guys
