I need a newbie in Northern VA.
« on: June 25, 2008, 08:05:07 AM »
I'm going to require the assistance of a newcomer in late July.  Under a year of experience.  Needs to be willing to train hard, several times a week, on their own.  Also needs to be willing to meet me once a week for 6 months to a year.

It's difficult to gauge how dedicated someone is actually going to be when they first start out, so just let me know if you're relatively certain you're not going to drop out of this halfway through.

On our weekly meet-ups, I'll be chauffering you to random locations for training, and occasionalyl ask you to come out to the bigger social jams.

Last requirement is that you aren't camera-shy.

Thanks!

ahh.... what I wouldn't give for a 36hr day instead of a 24hr day.... I wish I had time for that because that's exactly what I'd be up for.... I live in Dale City, but getting together once a week would be tough for me.... what kind of time frame are you looking at? Mornings? Evenings? Mid-day?

Whenever there's time.  I work 8-5 on weekdays, and I only have limited access to a car, so there's that to consider.

Wish I lived in Northern VA. Sadly I'm in Roanoke.

How about someone who has never done it at all?  I live in Fairfax and could commit to meeting up once a week.  I currently work out at least 5 days a week and could easily alter some of my current workouts to do this instead or, better yet, add it to my existing workout schedule.  As for the camera-shy part, I can work on that...

I'm definitely up for training with and helping out whoever's interested!  This project needs to spotlight on a particular person, but I can very easily film everyone who wants it and edit it in the same manner (albiet much slower) so that it can be of benefit to you.  Plus, it gives me back-up material.. >_>..  Or we can do it off-camera if you're shy.  But seriously, if you just want to learn and have some with a modicum of experience with you, I'm all up for meeting.

Celena, I know of a great place in Fairfax!  Let me know any time you wanna meet up to train, provided I'm not working.

I'd love to do that, especially with you animus. Unfortunately, I'm stuck in stupid Virginia Beach... I hope this place catches fire >:(, not with me in it though. ;)

Heh, doesn't mean I'm as good as you guys, I'd still consider myself a newbie.
