« on: March 14, 2006, 06:33:44 PM »
i just got my first pullup bar... im excited like a giddy school girl... ok.. that might be alittle far. but i have tried to use my imagination and there was absolutly nothing to use as a pullup bar at my house, and now i finally have one. before i had to go places to do pullups, now i can just go to my garage! ok... enough of that. ;D

also this is my first post and its a honor to be a member of apk. rock on people... rock on...

that sucks... you could always walk up and slap him on the back of the head and be like "where my pullup bar at bitch?!?!"... or politely remind him... i guess either could work.  ;D

I didn't even know that you could get pull-up bars, but sure enough a few days ago when i was in Gart I spotted one!  Of course I had to have it, so i bought it and took it home, now it is sitting on the floor in my room.  I seem to be having trouble finding a place for it, this just figures.  I find something totally awesome and there is no where to put it :P.

Maybe I'll try the garage, though I really want it in my room.  Stupid weak drywall

you can do pull-ups on  almost anything, just look around, tree branches, scaffolding, hell you could even make a pull up bar with PCV pipe,(although i don't know how sturdy it would be :P) just be imaginitive, and they pull ups will come to you

I'll probably do them off my deck railing.  Wish there was something indoors, though.  I used to, back when I rock-climbed regularly, be able to do them on the frames of doors, but my fingers aren't strong enough to grip onto things that're only a centimeter thick anymore.  ;_;  Need to start climbing again.
