Well, they didn't really ever "land"... they more or less "crumpled."
The fear of heights is an instinctive, universal one. Not for everyone is it the irrational terror known as a "phobia," but any sane person is going to have what's called "a healthy fear" of heights. This is self preservation 101. That sub-conscious check when something inside is telling you, "maybe you should rethink this. That's a bit too far down..." is meant to be listened to. Those "butterflies in your stomach" are meant to be a life saver.
If you ignore a valid, rational fear and go against your gut, you're inviting your mind/body to do something it's either not ready for or not designed for. It looks amazing on camera, and it probably is "a rush"... but I'd say it's not worth it.
If they got some control to go with that power, they would be a force to be reckoned with. No contest, they have great potential. I hope they realize this and begin to train with discipline and diligence-- before it's too late and they get hurt.
