Boulder, Colorado - March 14, 2006 - The Daily Camera
« on: March 14, 2006, 12:37:21 PM »
This article is probably the best portrayal of parkour I have been a part of. Big thanks to the reporter, photog, and film guy. Here is the link to the article:

i really liked it, definitely the best portrayal iv seen. It clearly showed the difference between flips and parkour, and talked about the philosophy.
man, demon is featured in more articles than the entire rest of the Country ;)
life is too short, so love the one you got

Excellent!

The thing that sticks out most to me is the accuracy of the article.  There was nothing overtly incorrect, you guys didn't seem to be mis-quoted or be quoted out of context, and the message/definition/description of PK seemed more-or-less spot-on.  Nicely done guys.

I have found that as I gain experience with the media (this was my 9th parkour article), I am able to control what the reporter says more than I used to think. I have a lot of kindve "pre-made" quotes and topics that I make sure to talk about. If you clearly and accurately explain everything, give them online resources to look at, and never give them any reason to show you in a negative way, chances are the article will turn out something like this.

But at the same time, it does help to work with a professional and interested reporter who takes the time to put a little extra research into the topic.

The same article was published in The Dirt (another Boulder newspaper) last week along with a couple new photos. Had a lot of college students comment on it. Good exposure!
