Welcome to The FreeRunner Issue 10! It's now June, and with the passing of (B)East Coast, we are officially in the middle of National Jam Season. Every year the summer is a bit different. From PKUSA being the only jam, to only having two or three, to having a National Jam almost every weekend, this is a clear sign that Parkour is spreading more and more every year. This year brings something new - National Parkour Day. The APK Alliance and the Tribe had been discussing this for a while - a single day where people can host events, knowing that all over the country other traceurs are doing the same. We decided that every year, it would be held on the first Saturday of June. This way it's always on a weekend, to ensure that everyone can participate. Whether you're in Denver with hundreds of other traceurs, or in the middle of Wyoming with no one around for hundreds of miles, join the rest of the American Parkour community in celebrating National Parkour Day. - Zachary Cohn "The Free Runner" Editor in Chief |

This month's Picture of the Month is "Double Kong to High Five." Gabe Streisfeld from Philadelphia just released a new video, "A Day in Philly." This is an excellent example of a video you should show to someone who asks 'What is Parkour?' It's impressive, but not dangerous. He employs the use of a spotter, emphasizing safety. |
