This spin on the standard protein shake picks up where plain whey leaves off and finishes the combination with healthy fats and low-glycemic index carbohydrates for long-lasting energy.
Ingredients: 1c skim milk 1 scoop whey protein powder 1 1/2 c frozen berries (blueberries, strawberries, rasberries) 1/2 c dry slow-cook oatmeal (uncooked) 2 tbsp natural peanut butter (no added trans-fats or sugars) 2 tsp olive oil Instructions: Place all ingredients in a blender and blend. Add water to reach the desired consistency. This makes a great, quick breakfast as well as a good snack an hour or so before a workout. |
