Just got this from a very cool journalist who will remain anonymous. Our thanks to the media professionals who maintain integrity in their jobs and put the facts out there for people to see. "David Belle, parkour co-developer and star of the film "District B13," spoke to an American journalist by phone last week from France with the help of a translator. The journalist, who asked to remain anonymous to avoid potential problems with his editors, was not able to use the majority of the conversation with Belle in the piece, so these excerpts were passed along exclusively to AmericanParkour.com in hopes that traceurs might find them worth reading." |

One way to gauge interest in Parkour is by checking out activity on the web. Of course Parkour doesn't happen on the internet, but certainly people talk about it, share stories and pictures, and many people "learn" (as in reading about or getting information before they actually try it) about Parkour on the web. Here at APK we strive to provide useful content for people finding out about Parkour and it seems to be working, on the first day of June (yesterday we had) 1610 visitors from 47 countires who viewed 18,111 pages for a total of 6.5GB of bandwidth.
To compare that to last month, we had 944 visitors who viewed 3,284 pages for a total of 900MB. Quite a change in only a month! Check out this Google Trends link, I think with the release of District B13 we're about to see another spike starting tonight! |
