Workout- Strength skills work: The Planche

For 20:00, work the skills that preclude the planche. These would include Handstand holds to slow-lowering (whether against the wall or free-standing), the appropriate Planche Progressions , Pseudo-Planche pushups (pushups with your hands down near or at the level of your hips, hands facing to the side or towards the back) and the handstand press .

Try to use your time wisely to give the most total skill work for the session. Post skills used and time/reps for each to comments. Compare to 10-26-06

I did lots of work on my planche yesterday, so I did 30 minutes of very random exercises. I kept returning to the L-sit, though.

I did L-sits, handstands, iron cross work, pushups, pullups, pistols, freestanding handstand pushups, dumbbell snatches, turkish getups, dumbbell swings and one handed handstand work.

Kelly dragged me along to the track tonight for a workout. Just got back now! We did 10x 200m sprints, and 5x 50m sprints. Finished with a 10 minute jog and stretching!

Might hit up 8 minute abs and some planche work, then again, might not :p I'm pretty beat :grin

Went for 2 miles today as well as work on the handstand press. It seems like the only time i get a good planche is when i'm trying to do a handstand. On the ups i held the tuck for just under ten seconds then pressed to a handstand, that was my personal best. So :grin
