The Butterfly twist is a variation of a Wushu movement known as a Butterfly kick, with an extra horizontal revolution thrown in purely for diffuclty / tricking sake.

to do a butterfly kick,start standing in *fighting position* or running and leap vertically, with extra force in your back leg to create rotation. 1/3 of the way through, turn your head to face the same way it was when you started. when you reach halfway, push your right leg out in a *side kick*, recoil, and land in fighting position or roll. basically, it's a 360 tic tac without the wall, and a B-twist is really just a 720 (two-spin) tic tac.
