Do All Runners benefit from increasing mileage? Many with the goal of increased fitness (and most specifically increased endurance) tend to add on volume indefinitely. If you run a 5k, you should then run a 10k, then a half-marathon, then a full, etc. etc. What is the cost of aspiring to ever-increasing, low-power endurance? How fit can you be if you accomplish this goal at the expense of strength, power, flexibility, stamina, coordination and agility? What part would ever-increasing volume play in say...a plyometrics program? Discuss in Comments.
