Been busy all day going with Kelly to get her wisdom teeth taken out. And tending to her needs as she recouperates, if she conks out I might do the warmup, but it's been a looooong day.

Weekend almost!

I haven't worked out regularly in over a year, but I'm trying to get back into shape. I did today's WOD to the best of my ability.

Frog Stand-20 sec
L-tuck-20 sec
Handstand Eccentrics-fell on my face
Tuck Front Lever-hahahah (I had some technical difficulties involving vines and barbed wire.)

You might ask why I bothered posting this, and I dunno the answer, except maybe to motivate others that are stuck on the couch or computer chair.

I can manage the APK warmup, sure. But I think I'm in the same boat as grrlreloaded.

It's gonna be awhile before I can do those Handstand Pushups, but I'm really serious about getting back in shape! ^^;

Is there a trick to some of these moves? I keep telling myself "No Shortcuts" but it seems like I might be doing this the hard way.

between a shortcut and scaling ... scaling is sensibly measuring your own capabilities and finding a way to push yourself ... gearsighted is working on an article now to help you choose good substitutions for the exercises for people who aren't up to the prescribed ones yet.

Actually I've already written that article. Right now I'm working on the article that tells you EXACTLY what to do as most people don't seem to be able to handle the scaling idea. If you're one of the people who CAN take the responsibility to do so, check this out:

The Art of the Exercise Substitution.

Did this on Monday 8-14 instead. I have a hurt left knee, no running right now so the warmup was scaled back to 3 sets of pullups and pushups. Did handstand holds rather than pushups, didn't have the parallelettes and I'm a little to close to smashing my face without them. Also only had time for 3 rounds w/ 1:00 rest:

L-Sit : :31 :34 :28
HStands: :30 :37 :36
