The foundation...

Whether your goal is health, longevity or elite athletic performance (or perhaps all three) the foundation of it all is proper nutrition. Without this as your base, all of the hard physical and mental training in the world won't benefit you even half as much as it should. With that in mind, here are a couple of links to give you some basic ideas for a path that you may choose to fill this requirement...there is perhaps no "right" way to go about performance nutrition, but all of these sites seem to gravitate towards a common path.

The Performance Menu - The work of Crossfit Norcal. These guys know their stuff, post up on their Q&A and Rob and Greg will hook you up!

Dr Sears: The Zone- Despite his propensity for commercializing a simple idea into endless streams of similar media for the unwary consumer, the ideas behind the Zone diet are solid. If you DO choose to buy one book, make it "Mastering the Zone" as it covers everything you would want to know.

The Peleo Diet- Based on the idea that we have evolved over thousands of generations to perform optimally on a certain guideline of food choices, the Paleo diet has been applied to a variety of health, longevity and performance studies and has shined in them all.

The Weston A Price Foundation - Dispels many of the myths associated with modern agricultural practice including the dangers of animal fats and cholesterol...very interesting reading.
