Whether your goal is health, longevity or elite athletic performance (or perhaps all three) the foundation of it all is proper nutrition. If you DO choose to buy one book, make it "Mastering the Zone" as it covers everything you would want to know. The Peleo Diet- Based on the idea that we have evolved over thousands of generations to perform optimally on a certain guideline of food choices, the Paleo diet has been applied to a variety of health, longevity and performance studies and has shined in them all. The Weston A Price Foundation - Dispels many of the myths associated with modern agricultural practice including the dangers of animal fats and cholesterol...very interesting reading. |
