Hey, Jesse. Looks like yet another kickass workout. I'm gonna do this one with no substitutions (well, i'll see about the box jumps), but this week I'm gonna do a lot of subs for anything that puts a ton of stress on the back. That old back injury I've been bitching about is no joke and I'm going to the doctor as soon as I get my new med insurance cards in the mail.
Nonetheless, I will not stop training, no will I sissify my body.

Maverick, you should probably lay off any ballistic jumping etc. until you figure out what you've got going wrong. I would say that squats are still fine. Pushups and pullups might work, you have to gauge by how it feels. Be careful! Don't put yourself out for any longer than you might have to!

I had to sub: 5 reps single, one double, so 5 double unders per round of 25, tried going all doubles, wasn't getting 2 in a row.
Running time: 19:34
Took 3 minutes out for dog in the way of jumprope, and jumprope prompted "evacuation"
total time as modified 16:34

No, you did 5 double-unders per-round. If you can't get them successively, then do them one at a time or with a couple of regular jumps in between, but don't cheat yourself by doing 20% of the work when you are physically capable of doing it all
I just finished the Crossfit WOD "JT"....I might still do this one in a minute or two, I feel pretty good....

ran 3 miles
and that's what I said, 5 double unders per round, or 20% of the work. but yeah, of course you're right.

Of course
Alright, this was pretty fun, though my legs were dead from yesterday. Did JT as Rx'd in 19:41...rested about 10 minutes and hit this up as Rx'd in 13:05. Good times.

I laid off this one and did some yoga exercises instead and took a scalding hot bath. I feel like a sissy, but my back is starting to feel better. I think I'm going to have to supplement my daily workout regimen, even after I heal, with some hatha yoga in order to keep my back limber and in line. I had been doing so a year ago, during one of my bouts with this injury, and it was working pretty good.

Felt wicked tired at the very beginning of the warmup, cut the workout down a little bit but not enough (meant to cut it much more but just couldn't bring myself to do it). Need more rest, will do less intensity more skill work tomorrow.
APK Warmup (2xI, 3xII) Subs: 6 rounds, not 7 for the first 2 double unders, only did 15 for the first 5 sets of double unders, did this pattern: one under, double under, etc for the sixth set, tried to get 2 double unders in a row... occasionally got it, slowly getting the hang of it for the quad movement, tried to go 15m as quickly and efficiently as possible this way: forward, backward, forward, backward, sideways, sideways the other way
Total time: 15:09

I somehow got a cold so I have trouble looking down, but after the warmup I felt okay. I nailed this in 11:54, including un-jamming my jump rope a couple of times. Broad jumps could have been a little more powerful... Other than that I'm very satisfied.

6 rounds instead of the Rx'ed 7 in 18:40. 20 double-unders instead of 25.
