Gearsighted (Jesse Woody) has just been certified by the American Council on Exercise as a Group Fitness Instructor. Not only did he finish the test in 1/2 the time, he scored well above the necessary passing grade. The man knows his s#1& :) Jesse is also a Level 1 certified CrossFit Instructor. Way to go!!

From ACE Website:

The ACE Group Fitness Instructor certification is for individuals teaching any form of exercise in a group setting. Passing the ACE Group Fitness Instructor certification exam means that you have demonstrated your knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, exercise physiology, instructional techniques and injury prevention.

I actually didn't even get the anatomy book or the DVD, as I had two anatomy books already. I just have the text-book and the flash cards

Jesse, you are an inspiration to my personal training and advancement, especially with your workouts, and your rest-day education.

First off, congratulations Jesse.

2nd, like many others on this site, I have greatly furthered my knowledge on overall fitness through your WOD, various articles you post, and your personal expertise. It is much appreciated :D

3rd, I'm curious as to how is this new cert going to play into your future endevours?

Well, I hope to continually work towards training people in one context or another. I have a couple of job opportunities coming along those lines soon, so we'll have to wait and see before I can give any specifics. Either way, I just love learning and teachning something physical and I hope to be able to do it in some way, shape or form for the rest of my life! :D

Congrats Jesse! Where are you looking to train? DC? eh? How about DC? I hear that downtown DC is a great place for trainers.
