More EDT Training.

I'm psyched that the EDT protocol seems to be doing some good for quite a few people. After reviewing the previous protocol we established, I figured a bit of a change was in order for the core portion. Though this will throw off any exact comparison with the last workout, it will more-gracefully match opposing exercises, in my opinion. Let me know what you think :D

APK Warmup (new and improved)

The workout will be broken into two 10:00 minute sections. For the first section alternate the following exercises, stopping short of failurein each successive set until the very end of the time period:

Pullups

Dive-Bomber Pushups

In the second section, alternate the next two exercises:

Russian Twist  Or weighted russian twist, as needed

Back Extension

The idea is to perform as many reps as possible, alternating from one exercise to the next within the given time period. If you caught this workout the first time around, shoot for at least one more rep total for each exercise.

Post total reps per-exercise to comments. Yesterdays workout, Wednesday 5-17-06

Compare to 5-5-06

Whould would be the best way? Holding something of appropriate weight in my hands or wearing a weightened backpack on your chest or another way?

Bubblemaker, either would work. I will probably hold a plate-weight in my hands and twist that from side to side as I perform the movement. I am probably going to pick up a weighted vest soon, and when I do so I will do them with that :D

Started with one hour of Parkour training, doing reps on numerous precisions and balance skills.

First round: Pullups/Dive-Bombers:
8/8, 6/6, 6/6, 6/6, 6/6, 6/6, 8/7, 6/7

Second round: Russian Twist/Back Extension
12/12, 12/12, 8/10, 10/10, 10/10, 10/5

Got held-up after the first set of the second round so I shouldn't have any trouble beating that total next time :p

we've been having rehearsal all day for a show we're doing here. The rehearsal itself is very physically demanding so that works for us. It'll be like that the next few days over here.

Arright, fellas. I'm the new guy. Finals are over and I'm sick and tired of my Navy SEAL workout book. It's getting boring and repetitive. Time to get me into some Parkour and some WED. Look forward to posting my times and reps!

I did this on Friday May 19th instead.

First round: Pullups/Dive-Bombers (approx #s, I didn't write it all down):
(from the 5th round on, the 3rd pull up was a half pullup, lower to jump up and lower down)
5/5, 4/4, 3/3, 3/3, 3/3, 3/3, 3/3, 3/3, 3/3, 3/3, 3/4

Second round: Russian Twist/Back Extension (again, #s are approx):
(I wasn't sure if the back extensions were 1 for each 1/2 twist or for each full twist, so I did 1 for each 1/2 twist)
13/26, 10/20, 10/20, 7/14, 7/14, 6/12, 5/10, 4/8, 5/10
