Chicago Parkour: National Parkour Day Print E-mail
Wednesday, 10 June 2009

June 6th, 2009, was officially National Parkour Day, and many Parkour and Freerunning communities across the U.S. held jams in all the major cities. Aero held their own jam at the University of Illinois in Chicago, and though weather conditions made things a bit slippery at times, the vigilant traceurs continued jamming throughout the day. This was Chicago's first leave no trace Initiative, and had a huge success with 38 people and 7 bags of trash. Hopefully this will give people a glimpse of how close the Parkour/Freerunning community is in the Chicago land area. So I hope you enjoy!

Awesome vid! It gave me a few more ideas on how to drill myself for my conditioning.

I'm a beginner, yet a natural. It's fun as hell, just being a kid all over again - with the judgment skills of an adult. Best of both worlds!

It's definitely bringing out the best in myself, in the form of fun, strength, self-confidence, and self-appreciation.

These who won't try this out are missing out a lot.
