Hang Shimmy Print E-mail
Monday, 19 January 2009

The hang shimmy is another practical movement that is also a great conditioning exercise. It is often used to traverse along the tops of walls before finding a suitable place to climb up or dismount. In addition to building endurance, the hang shimmy is a brutal upper body and core exercise.

How important is foot position? I thought I did this well, but after watching this I think I have my feet too high up on the wall. They help a lot though...

actually i think you should do this legs with out touching the wall ( arms aren't retracted all the way but aren't completely straight etheir ) it would better prepare you say if you for any reason cant grabb a footing and you know a drop from the hight is too dangerous :roll im just saying lol

i do this as a combination of a muscle up and this, just get something that you have to bend your arms to put them on and hold yourself up, then do this without the legs
