APK Warmup

Workout- Strength skills work: Handstand/Planche

For 20:00, work the skills that preclude the planche. These would include Handstand holds to slow-lowering (whether against the wall or free-standing), the appropriate Planche Progressions , Pseudo-Planche pushups (pushups with your hands down near or at the level of your hips, hands facing to the side or towards the back) and the handstand press .

Try to use your time wisely to give the most total skill work for the session. Post skills used and time/reps for each to comments. Compare to 12-16-08

I just did the planche progression where you put your knees on your elbows. They don't hurt now that I'm done, but it kind of hurt my wrists when I had all my weight off the ground. Is it normal for your wrists to hurt a little?

Oh, if it matters, I had my fingers facing straight ahead of me. I tried to hold myself up while making fists with my hands too. That kept my wrists from bending, but obviously it made balancing much more difficult.

don't worry man.
i have the same problem.
mine is partially because i was out of doing this because of an injury. which by the way had nothing to do with parkour, just my own stupidity. but i wouldn't do it too much till you build up you strength. just a way that i found it easier and easier everytime i went to do it.
