A mini-documentary of sorts by Kaspar Astrup Schröder. He spent a day with a small group of traceurs in Japan that make up PKTK (Parkour Tokyo). It's a great video that truly encompasses the feeling around an entire day of focused training with close friends.

That was wonderful!!
I really enjoy Parkour videos with a "mellower" soundtrack...I feel it really highlights the beauty of the movements rather than the practitioner's "extremeness".

I also really enjoyed the juxtaposition of the traceurs practicing slowly and fluidly in comparison to the herky-jerky bustle of the rest of the Tokyo population.

Thank you for posting this!!

Haha! This is great! It's rare when you can watch a video from a country half way around the world and recognize both the locations and traceurs. These are the same guys Levi, Luci, Brett and I got to train with when were over there for Ninja Warrior. Great guys. And they've been improving in strides! If any of you ever have the chance to go to Tokyo, I highly recommend finding them and running around with them for a few hours. Good stuff!

I enjoyed listening to the Japanese perspective of parkour, which is, not ironically, similar exactly to that of the rest of the world.

Movement is our common language.

I've been training in Muay Thai for nearly two years now, training on a daily basis. Trying to connect myself with life, through physical efforts...

Parkour is amazing. The beauty is awe-inspiring, and this video truly demonstrates this.

As of today, I've redirected my efforts to learning this art.

This is one of the most beautiful Pk videos that I've seen. It is really amazing that no matter where we are from we can all relate through Parkour. I am planning on going to Japan this summer, so seeing this has gotten me really pumped about that trip. I definitely hope to meet up and train with these guys while I am there.

this is my dream. To parkour in Japan

I dream to leap of buildings and climb walls others would normally label impossible.

What a fantastic composition to show the fluidity that one can strive to attain within their environment. I agree with the one gentleman in the video that this have been around for centuries and it is only recently that it has been given a name. Hopefully, with the name that it has given, it may remain pure and without rules as mankind tends to do with something new. Thank you again for the wonderful video.

That was really something. The guys performed very well and the video itself was mellow.

You know, I just started Parkour a week ago. And I've got to say, as much fun as I've had with this, I think I would have dropped it within the next two weeks. But I saw this and went "Damn."
Yeah.
Definitely gonna stick with this.
Great video, and thanks for posting it!
