Congratulations go out to the newest member of the Tribe, Jereme Sanders! His tremendous hard work and dedication towards the US Parkour community has undoubtedly been recognized by traceurs from all over the country. You've probably seen him on this years K-Swiss Freerunning Tour, working with Texas Parkour or teaching at many of the jams. Check out Jereme in action in his sampler here. Congratulations Jereme!

'Go Big or Go Home'
NOT Part of Parkour
These days we get a lot of silly questions from beginner's wondering "If I can drop of 10ft walls fine, when can I start practicing 12ft?" It seems that many beginners are influenced by crazy YouTube videos and mature (10+ years training) traceurs puling off huge movements. Zac 'Happydud' Cohn wrote an article about this "Go Big or Go Home" mentality to try to dispel some myths about training and to caution everyone about the dangers and risks of any such movements!

In this issue we've got an article from "The Vaults" of APK, a great article by Charles Moreland on proper running technique, some news on the recent changes in The Tribe, and we're introducing a whole new monthly feature: Trace the Path. Trace will follow Tyler M. along his journey from being a very new and inexperienced traceur to... well, where ever his path takes him. Every month will feature an article detailing his experiences, advances, and growth. Hope you all enjoy this issue! - Zachary Cohn "The Free Runner" Editor
Trace the Path with Tyler
This issue brings us a beginner who is starting his journey and willing to document each step he takes and share all his experiences. Lets support and follow him through his path:
"Hello Everybody! Welcome to the 1st article of Trace the Path! I’m Tyler M. your host and I’m pumped that I have such an opportunity to write an article for APK, thanks again to Mark and Zac for liking my idea! I currently go to the University of Connecticut as a freshman and I’m a Finance major. Actually being at Uconn prompted me to pitch the idea for this article, since I found so many great spots to start training seriously here, over the next months I’m sure you will get acquainted with said spots through pictures I will have in the article. I’m from a small town in Connecticut, where skateboarding or biking was the only outdoor activity accepted, more on that later. "
Check out this sweet ass picture of Mark Toorock from a Denver, CO jam! Always inspiring :)
Also check out our featured Video of the Month - Ozzi's Year of Progression. Ozzi Quintero has put Hawaii Parkour on the map since he founded the scene only one year ago. The one year mark in a traceur's life should be very important, so he made this sweet new tribute video.
