Workout- Skill Work- The Front Lever
For 20:00, work the Front Lever Progression along with any related skills, namely inverted hangs to slow lowering into the lever or one-legged lever
position (from beast skills), and "Ice Cream Makers" where you swing
into a lever position pause. Towards the end of the time-period some
strategically placed Leg Lifts will help finish off any last semblance of low-ab strength you may have left.
Post the progressions used or any questions to comments. Compare to 7-16-08

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then nothing we say will have a greater impact on you than
this video. Meet 9-year old Winter Vinecki..
ONE FAMILY. ONE TEAM. ONE GOAL.
WE CAN DO IT.
Winter Vinecki is a 9-year-old triathlete competing in the most
important race of her life: honoring her dad's fight against prostate
cancer.
On his 40th birthday, Michael Vinecki was diagnosed with sarcomatoid
carcinoma, an especially aggressive form of prostate cancer. In the six
weeks between his diagnosis and a 12-hour Father's Day surgery at the
Mayo Clinic, his daughter was hard at work forming Team Winter to raise
money for Athletes for a Cure.
Her goals? To raise $10,000 for prostate cancer research, to make
people aware of the risk, and to honor her dad by fighting just as hard
as he has. Team Winter included her three brothers, Yukon (11), Magnum
(7) and Ruger (5), and their mom, Dawn. On September 21, we're going to
ad 2,500 athletes to her team.
For the first time ever, the entire field at the Athletes for a Cure
Triathlon will be fundraising for a single team, Team Winter. Winter
Vinecki reminds all of us of what triathlon is really about: heart. To
honor her tenacity, courage and incredible heart, we invite you to join
us in racing for Team Winter on September 21, 2008.
On September 21st every member of the triathlon family who registers as
a fundraiser will "give" their fundraising total to "Team Winter." All
individual awards are still there for you, but on this day your race,
your passion and your heart are finishing for one 9-year old girl and
her father.
