At it's inception in September of 2005, American Parkour was funded out-of-pocket by an individual. There were no paid advertisements on the site until January of 2008. We've also built up a range of products such as the Tutorial DVD and the T-shirts, Water Bottles and Bags which help to pay for the hosting and operation of the site. As of June 2008, APK has had a "high traffic" month of over 560 Gigabytes of traffic. That means fairly expensive hosting! It makes sense that APK's operation costs are supported in part by advertisements for products which may appeal to our viewers.
