No Age Limit - Argie's Training Print E-mail
Wednesday, 30 April 2008

Here is a great video by APK member Argie showing some good training, that serves as a reminder that a solid foundation of the basics is important, and those skills should be frequently revisited.  It as also worth more than a little mention that Argie is a member of our 30+ club, and that this video demonstrates that with dedicated training, profficent skill in parkour is obtainable by anyone, and it's never to late to start training!

3. 05-09-2008 09:08

Very excellent video. Definatley have to show it to some of the older (not even that old) guys who use age as an excuse to not train.

Enjoyed the vid lot. You've got a great foundation in strength and it shows in the way you move.

Keep up the good work,

That was really great, Argie. It's nice to know that parkour isn't just for the younguns (not that you're all that old :p

Anyway... Great video, I was amazed at your balancing proficiency, and it really gives me something to work towards. Good selection of music, as well.

Beautiful video, great editing. But even better than the editing was your training and skill! Keep up the good work! :)

One of the best vids I've seen. Love it. No frills, just the real thing and that goes for the editing as well as for Argie's performance. As to being too old to train: I started PK when I was 44. That was 1 year ago. I train every day and I love every minute of it!

16. 05-11-2008 06:13

what song is this?

17. 05-11-2008 06:15

What they said times two! It was great.

18. 05-12-2008 02:05

Thanks for the kind comments guys, I didn't expect it to be on the home page.

I'm actually from Australia and a member of the APA (Australian Parkour Association).

Oh the song is - Reasons Why - By Nickel Creek.

Hope to train with you all one day.

(Not sure why it say Original copyright owners - American Parkour Company? Maybe someone can clear that up for me).

Keep training.......Hard.

ARGIE :)

Argie -

Actually it says "copyright original owners." (that would be you :) ) And then goes on to talk about APK making no express warranties, etc. It's hard to see the sentence break with the small screen.

Awesome video and music!

20. 05-21-2008 04:11

really good vid

21. 05-21-2008 21:18

Thanks for that vid, Argie. Like you, I'm an older guy (38!) who got interested/obsessed with Parkour. I've got a 22 year background in fairly vigorous kung fu, but seeing your video really helped me get motivated. I can do this, too! Thanks again.

22. 05-23-2008 13:13

the video was awseome and the song was cool too

23. 05-27-2008 12:18

Argie, the video was inspiring. Especially since I'm turning 30 this year.*grin*

24. 05-28-2008 06:27

No flips but still really awesome especially being 30+

25. 05-28-2008 11:39

I love this video mainly because it makes me feel like I can never get to old.

Does anybody know how I can download this?

26. 06-30-2008 12:12

man im good bt i need to get whole lot better at balance:grin

27. 08-02-2008 19:48

So Is 30 considered older for parkour? cause I'm 29. I just started this type of training..

28. 08-08-2008 23:47

I like :)

29. 08-17-2008 16:33

lol my dad says he's "too old" to do parkour

30. 08-29-2008 10:02

Seems I've got all beat: be turning 44 in December '08. Am I toast? I DON'T think so. Gotta believe!! I wear same size pants as I did when I was 20, do bodyweight exercises, and run 20mi/week, but I've still got work to do. By Sp '09, I hope to be able to get a handle on some basic moves and do something that won't be laughable . . .

31. 10-30-2008 12:58
