There is a great article on Parkour on Sports Illustrated.com. Dan Iaboni and others come across very well in the article by Jon Wertheim. The article infers that I don't care about the roots of Parkour and goes on to cut short a quote about David Belle - I'll finish the quote to avoid any confusion. I said that David Belle pushes the envelope of human development, but he's also 35 and lives with his mom, which to me signifies that he is only succesful in certain dimensions. Of course I don't know why David lives with his mom, this quote was part of a larger conversation and certainly no offense was meant.

not a fan of the one sided-ness of the article. however, i am very excited by the fact that s.i. covered pk.

that article actually wasn't that bad. It didn't display parkour as just mindless jumping off buildings or us being the new skateboarders...

Parkour comes off well in the article but they make M2 sound like a sellout, which he isn't.

yeah they do make the guy at the end of the article sound like a sell-out. Idk if it would be good or bad if parkour became a norm. I guess im more scared that it would loose the philisophical meaning behind it. Mainly because america doesnt seem to care about that.

Why do you get that impression? I'd say it's very untrue, so I'm curious as to why you think that.

Thats our biggest problem. No one sees the philosophy behind it all. :sigh

I understand M. i really like the philosophy and i dont want america to rip it apart and treat it like another fad.
