Skyline Park
17th St. and Arapahoe St., Denver, Colorado

ok

Conditions - Skyline Park consists of grass, stairs, rails, and walls, but the most incredible features of the park are the two large fountains known to traceurs as Cat Fountain and Precision Fountain. Because this area is a downtown Denver public park, there are sometimes bums and other sketchy people hanging out in the area. Stay out of the very bottom of the fountain (below the walkways) as they can sometimes contain nasty trash and other things. Although it hasn't happened yet, there is definite pain potential if you mess up and fall. Concrete cracks and crevices all round the bottom of the fountain demand respect.

Security - The park is a public area so there is no one stopping you from doing anything you want parkour wise. However, keep an eye out for thieves and bums. In order to prevent theft, throw your stuff in the top of the fountain.

Obstacles - The fountain is made up of many stone "boxes". The boxes vary in size most are semi hollow with grating on the inside to land on. All boxes are concrete and porous for maximum traction. The variations of jumps, cat leaps, tic tacs, and precisions are innumerable.

Features: Two large fountains with multi level wall and concrete block madness galore.
Lacks: Rails.

Overall - Skyline Park is where it is at. For any level of traceur it is definitely the place to start. With so many levels of difficulty, you can hone your skills to any level of difficulty you want. You will always find new things to do at the fountain. Cat Fountain is the best single area in downtown which is why it serves as the main place to meet and warm up.
