I once read and heard somewhere that alot of cardio excercises(in this case the 200m run) can degrade and eat away at the muscle. thats why runners always look 20 years older. is this something that should be taken into consideration when formating the WOD? just a worry.

I just googled it, and a couple of sources say that doing cardio work after a strength workout might not be so great, but doing cardio beforehand or separately is fine. Also, a 200m sprint isn't really cardio exercise. It works your legs a lot harder than your heart.

That said, you do need to do some cardio work to get the stamina necessary for parkour, and a workout like this one with lots of high-intensity reps will probably help with that.

I can see why this is a misconception. Alot of distance runners have such low body fat that they appear skeletal and thus older. Also competitive runners usually don't weight train in order to keep thier overall weight down and so run faster. But you would have to run quite a bit (40-50 miles/week) and not weight train to experience any real muscle loss. The 200m is acutally considered strength training among runners. So no worries.
