K-SWISS - Parkour and Freerunning

Last summer Colorado Parkour hosted a jam of monstrous proportions. We had over 70 traceurs from all around the country moving around and learning! It was the most memorable jam of my life and I know I have the traceurs to thank for that. That includes everyone who traveled whether it was a jog from the apartment, a car ride across the country, or a plane ride over the US. - LeoNn   Read more to see how K-SWISS helped get a few of us out there to share in the fun ...

The problem with these jams is that not everyone can afford to make it out. I wouldn’t have been able to make it if it hadn’t been for some divine intervention. Since the Tribe is sponsored by K-Swiss, they offered to pay for our traveling fees so we could meet and jam with other Traceurs. When I got word of this I quickly threw together a road trip idea between Doc Akh, Steve L, and myself. We road from Washington DC to Boulder CO in a little over 26 hours and K-Swiss paid for our gas (Thank You)!  I know I speak on behalf of the Tribe when I write this, we are all thankful that K-Swiss was willing to help us pay for our trips. Because of it, not only were we able to experience the unforgettable, but everyone else at the jam benefited as well. More traceurs equated to more experience being shared and more fun being had. So thank you K-Swiss for being awesome!! - LeoNn

Last summer, word was quickly spreading that Denver was the jam everyone had to go to.  4 days of parkour in the Rocky Mountains what more could you ask for? Unfortunately I wasn't planning on going because flights to Denver don't come cheap, but within a week of the before the jam I was told K-SWISS would be helping to pay for travel! I was so pumped for this because it showed K-SWISS' support for us.  It made the whole jam more enjoyable and exciting then any other Jam I've ever attended. I'm so glad I got to go because I really met great people from different places at this jam.  If we all keep in touch and get people excited about jams and parkour events, they it will definitely grow and reach more people across the USA. - Ando

A note from Mark Toorock -

"The reason we chose to work with K-SWISS is that they work with us to enhance our ability to share Parkour and Freerunning with people. Instead of trying to steer the direction these things go, they simply support our efforts and enable us to do more than we could without their backing. In addition, they are fully committed to making an excellent product that will benefit anyone who chooses to wear it. We’re looking forward to another great year of working with this fun, dynamic company. In the new year we hope to spend a little more time letting the community know how we work with K-SWISS and how they work with us to help enable us to share Parkour and Freeruning"

so does that mean anyone who's apart of this website has the support of K-Swiss? I'm a little confused on that. :?

No, just the Tribe who is sponsored by K-SWISS is financially supported in that sense, but the fact that K-SWISS is working with the feedback they receive on their Ariake shoes from actual traceurs shows that they are behind all of us in helping parkour grow positively.

How about their other shoes? I'm getting a pair of Kirov's and I wonder should I be going through any channels to provide feedback?
