Finally something I would excell at and you post it while I'm currently being harrassed by this f'ing cold.

I usually run longer distances than 5K's but I figure I average between 20 and 25 minutes at that distance depending on terrain.

I just got back into my apartment, at exactly 27 minutes, not bad figuring in elevator and street crossing times. There's not a lot of hills in downtown Chicago, so i hit up all the ones on my route and stairs, plus i had the infamous Windy City wind in my face most of the time. SHould have stretched more though, it cooled down a lot since earlier it's a tab bit chilly.

I love my 5k route, lots of hills, spread evenly throughout, with the steepest one coming right near the end. I think I could cut 2-3 minutes on a flat course, but what fun would that be?!

I started out with a goal of under 30 minutes. Then I thought I'd probably not even finish. 28:34.

Hills; oh yeah, I live at the TOP of a mountain, so anyway I go is downhill, about a 600' vertical going out , and of course the same coming back up.

25:26< it was on a track, incredibly flat, and straight foreward, but it was a warm day here and very enjoyable!

I was only able to do about 2.5 miles before the weather got nasty. Did that in 22 something. Each mile is about 1/3 flat, 1/3 uphill 1/3 downhill. Most of it in the rain.
