You should go to E60 and watch the video with the Parkour Pitch meeting or something like that. It shows what people just introduced to parkour think about the sport. Also there is one idiot who thinks it isn't a sport, but she also thinks the x-games aren't sports... and mountain climbing... almost any sport.

Urban gymnastics? WTF? Does she realize there's a difference between parkour and free-running?

Heh yeah...it just goes to show what people who don't know anything about parkour might think. With such a new and unproven thing like parkour, we are constantly against the odds when it comes to getting people to accept it! Hopefully the actual parkour segment helps get rid of some of those thoughts.

I just watched it. It pretty much just said a few things about parkour and went into the philosophy. Overall disappointing because it was so short Although they did get thier facts straight (first time the media has done so I believe).

I happened to see the segment on Parkour and it really fascinated me. I've never heard of such a thing. It motivated me to look it up so I suppose it was good publicity. 8-)

I think that girl that said it wasn't a sport is the smartest one there.

I saw it last night, it actually got me interested. After just that night practicing a few beginner things I'm hooked. Hopefully I'll stay hooked.

After watching the show, and not just the pitch, i was impressed. The crew (except the actual reporter) did a good job of representing parkour fairly. However, i was upset they acted like it was so dangerous. Thank you, demon, for telling them about all the work that goes into each move before you progress. Great job btw :-)

funny how the reporter asked "how many black people parkour?!" then showed the james bond movie clip. btw i know another guy, me! bitch...
After watching that clip i was instantly hooked. I started looking up parkour online and everything. I was just wondering where can i get parkour lessons in LA

Not sure you can get "lessons" anywhere. But there is a plethora of information right here! in the forums and in the main page, as well as many other pages around the internet to help get you started.
Furthermore, check out Cali PK, and see if you can meet up with them! They'll show you the ropes.
