Every Traceur's dream is to go to the birthplace of Parkour in Lisses and train with David Belle. That's exactly what Paul Maunder and Danny Wood from the UK did, and they brought a camera and their sense of humor (not bad for Brits, really). While they were there in mid-August, their trip coincided with a great group of Traceurs / Traceuseseses from Poland who they had also seen a year earlier. They hit up some of the most famous Parkour spots in the world, met some infamous people, and even had a chance to train with David himself. Fortunately for the rest of us, Paul (Obsidian) filmed the whole journey and has just finished the massive editing process into what I'd say is the best homemade Parkour documentary ever created. Read more for photos, details, and links to the video.

Here's a list of everyone who was there:

Paul, Danny, Surdi, Kajtos, Teteu, Fred, Jelon, , Halin, Piotr, Polkin, Cichy, Zamek, Zula, Marjanek, Godfrey, (Carcara, and Ania, but they spent most of their time in Paris :)

Finally, Paul's comments and the links to the video segments -

Last month, we went on our annual trip to Lisses. Like most traceurs, we took a video camera to capture our experiences. We were hoping that the trip would be a good one, and that we might get to train with a few people whilst there. As it turned out, the trip was amazing, and far exceeded our expectations. I ended up with so much great footage that I decided to cut it together in a documentary style. This ended up being 34 minutes long, so I've split it into 4 parts for youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJ4Nk8Cxim8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YoaLttVJns

Highlights of the video include the manpower gap in Evry, meeting a fake Yamakasi member, training in the gym in Lisses with David Belle's brother, and meeting David himself.

Paul will be creating some very high quality downloadable versions next week. Thnaks Paul for helping the rest of the world stay connected!

Thank you very much of this excellent video.
A work of great class where humour and Parkour are shared for the greatest pleasure of all.
We spent a very great moment with you in Lisses this summer and you
are the proof, if it had it to be justified, that this sport is a true
alive sport, in full evolution.
You are also the proof as Parkour, can and must, through its practice to gather and link the youth of the
whole world.
You can also thank in your thoughts, the Mayor of Lisses who is very often with David and his team and which
does with us a work so that this sport can evolve under the best conditions.
See you next year !
