Does anyone have an alternative to pull ups? An exercise that works the same muscles, or at least comes close to it? Any help would be awesome. Thanks

Jumping pullups are a good alternative to pullups, as they work the same muscles, only not quite as hard. Another alternative would be to do negatives: climb up on a step and do the downward half of a pullup. These apparently help build the strength for regular pullups pretty well.
