To pass an obstacle. This is a broad term to describe any method of overcoming an obstacle, including the many variations of basic vaults that can be performed.
It is most often used when describing a run, where individual moves don't matter as much as the path that you take. This differs from explaining movements during training, where individual moves are drilled for perfection. Thus, the use of language in this instance reflects the essential mindset of Parkour, where the path you choose to take, and the mindset you retain during a run are paramount, with individual moves carry much less weight. |
