Vert Vault PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 19 November 2005

Similar to a regular two-handed vault except at the zenith of the vault you lift one or both legs as vertical as possible, trying to make them perpendicular to the ground, then you land on the other side of the object to finish the movement.

so like the splits???? ya lets get an animation

4. 04-30-2008 23:13

No, I do not think it is like the splits.. I think it is meaning that during the vault process, your body should be in a vertical position (or as close as possible). i.e. your feet should be the highest part of your body, with your hands 'planted' on the surface of the object (or gripping a rail). It's almost like doing a handstand during the vault.. :upset I think there is a youtube video if you really need one.. something called a rocket vault.. Hope ANY of this helps lol

I think I know what that means...

Look up a Skateboard move called an eggplant. it's on vert (halfpipe) and is similar in description, except skateboarders can't fully extend their legs when they do this so picture yourself straightening out your legs as much as possible when you do so.

lol so its like this...
you have an obsticle (a rail) lets say...
u plant both hands on it, and you get ur body perpindicular to the ground meaning... like a 90 degree angle formed by your body and the ground right?

9. 07-28-2008 08:25

Yea, so it's basically a handstand halfway through your vault. Not efficient but flashy :eek

10. 08-09-2008 17:53

okay do you guys know what a hand stand is? well imagine starting out as a lazy vault (jumping over the rail with both legs out sideways from you with one or two hands planted.) but as you vault you bring your legs sideways, then keep on going until your legs are straight up. cool huh?

Here is a youtube of a vert vault, holding positions for better clarity.

for all you you-tube tutorial watchers, its just a rocket vault. all it is is swooping your feet high er up then you normally would while doing a lazy vault.
