Progression - One Step at a Time PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 16 April 2007

Progression with great control does come not quickly or easily. If a movement is difficult, break it down into simpler steps. If a movement is too big, find a way or a place that makes it smaller. That is how you progress safely, one step at a time.
It's nice to see that even really experienced traceurs follow the same idea in their training even when they are doing very difficult things. Check out this video from DC of Team Traceur !

This is one of the best parkour videos I have seen! Take one simple stair case and spend a whole afternoon having fun on it.
Illustrates so well that what seems like superhuman is truly just diligent skill training! THIS is what parkour is all about.

Nice video by DC! Shows just how much training can be put into a single small area.

Not-so-nice bail though, looked like a pretty far drop!

I feel the pain from that bail. Was doing a cat to cat, hands lost grip and landed butt first at the landing of the stairs. Bruised bad!

That was an excellent vid showcasing how skills are developed in steps. More people need to learn to progress this way

Deffinately an oucher on the fall (It wasn't a bail - it was a slip) but it's good to see him keep at it and build up to the moves.

This was a great Vid with awesome pricipals represented. It's nice to see some one else using the duck walk too :grin

like most things, getting better is about practice and dicipline which you represented perfectly. well done. much can be learned from your vid.
