Workout- Strength skills work: Handstand/Planche

For 20:00, work the skills that preclude the planche. These would include Handstand holds to slow-lowering (whether against the wall or free-standing), the appropriate Planche Progressions , Pseudo-Planche pushups (pushups with your hands down near or at the level of your hips, hands facing to the side or towards the back) and the handstand press .

Try to use your time wisely to give the most total skill work for the session. Post skills used and time/reps for each to comments. Compare to 2-23-07

I have a wrist injury, and bearing planche level weight on it is dicey. Do you have some suggestions for an alternative WOD?

Much thanks.

Check out the WOD archives and pick something that agrees with the injury. As per the strength-training recommendations of the day, I doubt that any bodyweight strength movement will work under those conditions, so you might pick something short and fast from the conditioning arena.

Crazy weekend so I'm taking a much needed rest day. Just doing the usual, 8 minutes abs, etc, and maybe take a long walk with Kelly :]
