Just added: Strongman Tommy Heslep will perform some amazing feats of strength after the "Most Primal" competition ...Come watch as he Bends steel bars,rips phonebooks,breaks chains & crushes raw potatoes all with his hands!

This Saturday, March 3rd from 9:30am-3:00pm we will be having an open house at the Primal Fitness facility in Washington, DC. A one hour Parkour training session at 10:00 will be followed by a kettlebell demo by Crossfit DC's Tom Brose at 11:15. At noon we will be having our first-ever "DC's Most Primal" competition, featuring the following events:

Tire Flip Race- Flip one of two large tractor tires as quickly as possible from one end of the room to the other for 2:00, trying to get as many laps as possible. Most laps in the time period wins.

Rope Climbs- With or without foot-assistance, complete as many rope climbs as possible in 2:00.

Farmer's Walk- Grab two heavy dumbbells and hold at your sides. Proceed to walk as many laps in 2:00 as possible

L-sit- 2:00 for the maximum total time in a tight L-sit position. Most combined time wins.

Burpees- Everybody's favorite, 2:00 of burpees for total reps....hehe

Participation will be free and there will be three entry levels, Beginner, Intermediate and Primal. We will have prizes awarded to the top competitors in each division, as well as door-prizes for many who attend. Prizes provided by Hook &Ladder Brewery, Concrete Pond Apparel, Primal Fitness, and American Parkour, amongst others.
