American Parkour Homepage Photo Contest PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 14 January 2007

It's about time to get Gearsighted off the homepage! What we need is a great picture that shows Parkour in action. Your entry can be a picture of you doing parkour, a picture you took of someone else doing parkour, or a drawing or design that exemplifies what parkour is about. You can combine it with the APK logo, or simply submit a photo that will fit well within the boundaries of the current frontpage photo. It can include the words Parkour and Freerunning, but only a parkour photo will be chosen. Depending on the number of entries a winner may be chosen by APK or we may put it out for a vote by the American Parkour community. Not only will the winner get a copy of our Tutorial DVD and a "Parkour" T-shirt, they'll also get free admission to this summer's training camp and have their picture on the American Parkour homepage! Read more for fine print.

Fine Print

Any entry submitted becomes the property of American Parkour. The author agrees to assign all copyright to American Parkour. Entries must contain only original material which you have the right to, and copyrighted materials belonging to others will be ineligible. entries must be received by February 28th. We reserve the right to end the contest early. The winner may be chosen at the sole discretion of American Parkour. American Parkour reserves the right to decline or deny entry to any material it feels unsuitable for any reason whatsoever. Flips are not Parkour.

Entries must be submitted to the "Homepage Contest Gallery" by registered members of American Parkour. Email entries will not be admitted and will probably be ignored :)

Do you have the apk logo in .psd format? Or should a new one be designed?

What dimensions should the graphic be? Resolution? Do you want the *.psd or an optimised version, or both?

yep, more details were obviously needed, my bad :)

Entries must be a .jpg file that is 635 X 150.

Entries must be complete, so whatever is in your file will be on the homepage of APK, that can't be just a photo, it must say American Parkour or have the APK logo in some form or other.

I hope it's O.K. if I use a picture from one of the Parkour tutorials here, as I only have one picture of of myself doing Parkour, and at that, it's a bad one.

But anyway ... the contest will run until we get at least 3-4-5 entries that would be suitable, I really want this to be an excellent image portraying Parkour!

The submission entitled ' APK3byRevDrJimiGlide' is mine. I'm not certain why the gallery shows 'guest' as owner, because I did login on the American Parkour homepage.
