A group of teens in the UK have posted videos on YouTube with Parkour in the title - the videos feature them using a graveyard at a church as their playground. This is terribly disrespectful and not in the spirit of Parkour or free running at all. The boys have complained that "when you live in the country there's not much else to do" - I guess they didn't see the Seattle training video, Erwan's video, or any number of woodland training. Regardless - as traceurs and Freerunners we stay off certain properties out of respect - Memorials rank top of the list, especially those memorializing the deceased. If you can't find somewhere better than a graveyard or memorial to practice - don't practice. This is an embarrassment to our discipline. Read more for link to the article. - Updated and will continue to update as more publications pick up ths story and make us all look worse.

Parkour- l’art du displacement
An article published in 'The Times', The Times is South Africa's newest daily newspaper, going to 130 000
Sunday Times subscribers every weekday. The Times is this country's
first interactive national daily producing video, podcasts and vodcasts
for www.thetimes.co.za in addition to the daily paper. Overall a great slideshow-article describing parkour, with some great photos to go along with it! It's nice to see Parkour grow in South Africa :)

A nice article describing different fun oudoor sports. It includes parkour "If any activity embraces the urban landscape to the full, it is free running,
or Parkour. Buildings, fences, walls and lamp-posts become obstacles and
facilitators of movement, as you scramble, climb, leap and vault over them,
moving through the city with a fluidity of motion akin to dance." I liked it :)

This was a short, well written article describing someone's first experience with Parkour. She took classes with Parkour Generations in London, England and found it to be a very positive experience! Take a look at the article yourself

http://www.surreyad.co.uk/news/2028/2028821/block_on_parkour_in_guildford_town_centre
Seems that the local city has taken steps to ban parkour in a small town centre. They've put up railings to stop the traceurs (...um?) and plan on waxing lamp posts. The traceur's attitude seemed like he just wanted to do his parkour and get out of there - I think the approach should have been more of a "lets talk to these guys about parkour and if they dont want us to, we'll leave it alone!"

This article reviews a stunt put on by Nissan automotive company in London where a group of freerunners dressed in suits got out of a bus and performed in live traffic.... "These stunts were carried out by professionals, and at no point were
the public in danger. We had health and safety staff in attendance." I certainly hope they were =P
