An Australian article talking about the UF World Championship taking place next week. It also has the basics of a free running / parkour article describing briefly what it is, and some media appearances. They also quote a few UF members :)

Babylon AD featured Vin Diesel but it also had one of our favorite traceurs, Mr. David Belle himself! The movie didn't do to great, but I'm sure the action was worth it =P
"They employed a team of Parkour experts, which is always a joy to behold on film (see District 13
or even Casino Royale to witness how great it can look), and yet the
film still failed to capture it with any grace or style. And bearing in
mind that the Parkour team can perform their skills live, it really
didn’t need jump cutting to make it look more impressive. All it did
was diminish the impact."

Seems like a teenager was vaulting some fences and damaged them, an adult took the teenager and lectured him, and his friends thought that it was very wrong.
First off, if you break something, TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. The worst that will happen is that you'll have to pay for something - work it off and be more careful next time.
Second off, treat other people with respect.Don't start an angry mob if arent-a-cop tells you that breaking that fence is bad and you'll have to pay. It was your fault, not his =P

This past weekend a man in Cairns, Australia fell from a rooftop down 8 meters. Luckily, he made it to the hospital in critical condition and is now stable. Owners of a local bar told police that they feared this man was involved in "Free-running" and the police did some investigation. The Australian Parkour Association was contacted and stated that they had no known traceurs in Cairns.
Regardless of whether parkour was involved or not, I wanted to highlight this news piece to remind you all of the grand danger involved when you mess around on rooftops. Parkour should NOT be practiced on rooftops - any of the things you do up there could easily be replicated at safe ground level.

This is mostly a great article, it's clear that Serafino has a good understanding, love, and respect for Parkour, but the way some of the wording comes out in the story is a bit tripped up.
Path less traveled: Parkour gives local teenagers better ...

There are so many articles coming out about Parkour now that we have a dedicated section on them on the homepage. Our "Parkour and Freerunning In the News" section has stories from all over the world, but every once in a while, one comes out that still deserves to be "front page news".
'Parkour' has been slow to catch on here is a lot like many of the other articles out there, but highlights an important point about Parkour - it's not an instant gratification kind of activity. This article features Zach Rockwell ("Rockwell ") and what caught my attention is that I think his situation is similar to that of many people here. You and your friends hear about Parkour and go try it. You have a blast, and then your friends go back to playing video games and watching TV but you're hooked, you'd rather go train in the real world. Your friends stop showing up for training sessions and you're left to practice on your own. I commend Zach for staying on it, and for learning quickly that it's not about big moves, it's about training yourself mentally as well as physically. Well done Zach!

Not a parkour or freerunning based article, but it is an article talking about this famous actor, Liam Neeson, and his latest film "Taken" which was filmed by Pierre Morel (B13). You can see where I'm going with this huh...? Liam had to learn parkour (the article calls it a martial art... ) for his role in the movie and it's helped him keep in great shape!
