Just another little paragraph about some actor who's taking up PArkour as part of a movie. At least they mention how it's a serious discipline that requires CAREFUL training or you could end up breaking things.

Anyways, Jake Gyllenhaal will be playing the Prince in the movie rendition and this linked interview he talks about how parkour on the set has gotten him buff =P

What obstacles? Urban free running rules!
Tihs journalist writes mainly about running safely in urban environments so it's only natural that he picked up some information about Parkour! They make mention of awesome fitness instructor Frank Forencich who "loves the way he can incorporate mind and body into a workout that uses
whatever concrete steps, trees, balconies and skyscraper happen to be
available. It’s all about adapting your body to the rigors of the
environment, sweating a little as you make your way across the city,
and having fun all the while." This is basically an introductory article into Parkour and freerunning and mentions a few of the basics.

Parkour Inspires Theatre
Really cool to see that PArkour and Freerunning have made it into an "experimental" show, No Where Can Be Here Now. "With Matta-Clark's architecture-based sculpture and the sport of
Parkour serving as sources of inspiration, the space itself is also
part of the raw material of the piece." Check it out!

Europe's Newset Party Capital
We've got a little tidbit of information today on how global Parkour has become. This article talks mainly about the state of Kosovo and how it's been faring since seceding with Serbia. It discusses the social aspect of live in Kosovo but the coolest part is that the very end where they talk about the 'latest craze' for teens being PARKOUR !!! 'Our dream to become as famous in Kosovo as David Belle is in France,' said one of the artists, 17-year-old Abdyl Kamerolli. Excellent, Abdyl! Keep training and you'll be there soon :)

Lossiemouth High Set to Rock
Tihs Highschool is putting on a show based on people taking from the environment and not giving back. They'll be opening up with a choreographed Parkour run to bring the students into the main hall where the show will take place. Wish my high school let me do this for our plays =P

Hoop La La
An annual festival at the De La Warr Pavilion last Thursday included a group of freerunners called Urban Shadows. They "astonished audiences with extraordinary feats of somersaulting and
flips as they demonstrated the art of parkour and free running.
Workshops took place teaching the philosophy and fundamentals. For
some, walking from A to B may never be the same again." Just a cool article showing more freerunning being demonstrated to the public!
