Zachary Cohn and Charles Moreland recently launched a new website, Rochester Parkour , to help build the community in Rochester, New York. The primary goal of the website is to increase awareness of Parkour in Rochester and the surrounding areas and facilitate new traceurs finding and training with more experienced ones.
The website contains basic information about Parkour to educate those who don't know what it is, a list of Classes, a weekly training schedule that is updated every Wednesday, as well as a link to the APK forums. It will eventually have a Flickr gallery to help organize and display photographs.
Reporters from The New York Times recently attended a jam in New York City and wrote a great article featuring Nikkie Zanevsky, recently back from China. The article also features Ann Kaczka, Ryan Irish, Sha Mialimm Ak, and Michael "Pyro" Araujo from NYPK. The video goes on to feature the basics of Parkour with Nikkie narrating and explaining.
Nice job, everyone involved, and hopefully this can get Parkour some good exposure in New York City. Thanks to Peter Gerstenzang, author of the article.
Chase Armitage of 3run has been an inspiration and major influence in the world of Parkour and Freerunning recently. The amount of practice and dedication he's put into the two disciplines have been captured in this new video he's been working on for one year... "I just want to show people that we all begin somewhere, I was new to
Parkour, Freerunning and filming, but with passion and dedication you can achieve so much, no matter what your goals in life are, just go for them and live your dreams." The video is available for download on his new website www.3inspiration.com in full HD resolution and other various formats. Below is the high quality youtube video. Thank you Chase!

Thomas Couetdic has written an official review of the Morzine training
camp that took place in the French Alps. From the 16th to the 20th of September, it proved to be a seriously intense experience for everyone that attended. "We came back for breakfast and headed back out immediately for the
first conditioning session: a simple and small wall run followed by a
controlled climb down. The 100 reps proved deadly on the hands of the
guys (especially because Forrest would make everyone start again if one
of them failed to do the exercise properly) and they all carried
painful blisters until the end of the course. And we had just started..." Click here for the full article on Parkour Generations website.
