The popular Parkour Tour (previously the Beyond the Brink Parkour Tour with Daniel Ilabaca) will be kicking off again this year. However, this go around will be a little different. To find out about the new tour click read more...
The Parkour Tour 2012 will see Parkour filmmaker Scott Bass and a freerunner visting different communities around the world.
"In each city Scott will stay with the community, film them and explore their city together."
"Another difference this year is that Parkour Tour 2012 will not have the traditional sponsorship that is generally seen backing these kinds of projects." Instead they are asking Traceurs to help support the Project.
The tour's IndieGoGo page touches on why: "We want more control to give the community what they want to watch, not what a sponsor wants to give. Our previous sponsor was great and didn’t censor or change our final films but we did have to make some compromises. By freeing ourselves from one large corporate sponsor we will be able to make the films that the community want and which best reflect the places we visit."
The funds donated for this project will go toward making the project itself happen. Once the tour is up and running, a limited edition t-shirt will be made by a designer from the community being featured. Each t-shirt will only be available for a short time after the film spotlighting that particular community has been released.
Check out the touur's video asking for support!

I hope they come around here, maybe they can convince the mayor to allow us to do Parkour here. There is hardly anywhere to do it except on playgrounds really.
