URL links to NBC page with transcript and video. This piece aired in 5 counties in California and will be sent to other NBC affiliates and is easily the best piece broadcast news piece I've ever seen  Cheesy!!

That was very good, except for the "parkour means obstacle course" bit. That's not exactly true, nonetheless, it was very good. Smiley

that was an excellent report and I am so very very glad that Parkour is coming up more and more in the news. The reporters seemed very positive and seemed to understand what they were trying to get across. I like how they said parkour is about saving others and yourself. + 1

I thought "parkour" comes from "parcours du combattant" = "course of the combatant" = military obstacle course?

Parcour means course, hence that phrase. Parkour is a slight variation, meaning path or course.
