Hmmm where to start here? Smiley

Basic Stats:
Age: 32
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 189 lbs

Additional activities: kung fu (3 years), yoga (5 years), running (1 year)

I have never been very good at running and only developed a liking for it over the last year. I'm also not much for jumping. So why on earth have I gotten myself into this? *laughs* I really have no clue, except to say I like a challenge.

Major Goals:
*Do a pull-up
*improve my sprinting ability
*stop over-thinking things and just move

I have a ton of minor goals I'll post when I have time.

5/19/08
PK class at 5280: warm ups (can't remember everything we did, unfortunately)
Vaults way higher than I could really manage, did attempt several though and with the help of the balance beam got up and over a few times
Learned cat leaps, practiced those about ten times
Practiced my vaults over a two foot block, I'm almost at the point where I can vault over it without clipping my feet or touching with anything but my hands. Did some lazy vaults too.

5/20/08
kung fu practice hour:
Practiced my testing material, which consists of: two spear forms, four black tiger forms, double tiger hook swords, double broadswords, pa kua, yang style tai chi

lower belt class:
warm ups (10 push-ups, 10 squats, 10 frog leaps, 10 cat-style push-ups, 10 sit-ups, 5 cross-sit-ups (each side), 10 leg lifts, 5 alternating leg lifts), followed by punching and kicking technique practice, and three rounds of sparring.
worked with green belts on short stick form, level 1 preying mantis form for 45 minutes

skipped brown belt class because my allergies have been destroying me.

Hopefully starting up a journal will help me keep track of my progress. (if only I can remember to post here)

5/21/08
H.I.I.T - 8 minute cycle
WOD for yesterday - I think I only managed about 10m instead of 15 (burpees kicked my butt something fierce) and I only did two rotations.

Practiced standing jumps onto a 18" high bench at the park, precision jumps from crack to crack on the sidewalk
Tried to convince myself to jump from the bench to the gazebo rail next to it but my brain wasn't having any of that. Cheesy

kung fu practice hour: straight sword, yang style tai chi
warm ups (20 squats, stretching, cat style push-ups, 20 sit-ups, 10 leg lifts)
classical 24 posture tai chi - 1 hour

Forgot to mention above, any recommendations, advice, harassment is welcome. Smiley

5/22/08 - day off

5/23/08 - 8 minute HIIT, bleh, that's all

5/24/08 - attempted 9 minute HIIT, interrupted by arrival of nieces and nephews, chased them around instead.  Grin
20 minutes kung fu training

5/25/08 - 1 hour swimming, various strokes

5/26/08 - day off

5/27/08 - walked to park (warm-up)
HIIT 9min
5 min stretching
Samson squat over to playground (5 each side)
10 inclined push-ups
10 sit-ups
10 negative pull-ups
Jumped stairs on the gym, working on trying to get my knees to my chest
walked home

total time - 1 hour

I did attempt a lazy vault over the back of a bench that was half effective (since I stepped onto the bench seat and then vaulted) that's progress though. Cheesy

Tonight I've got 1 hour practice, 1 hour lower belt, 1 hour brown belt
