Im extremely new to Parkour. In fact I've only gone out and tried it out twice. But I'm really interested in it and would like to get better. My problem is I need a workout routine that I can do on a regular basis to strengthen the muscles I need. I usually only do general lifts to keep healthy and I follow no routine at the moment; I'm not in peak physical condition, but I can do pretty much any exercise you think would help me. So a workout schedule, routine, or any other kind of help would be great.

Hey man, core strength is key to your training. Go to www.urbanfreeflow.com and search around for their ab workouts. I've been using them alot, it has definitely helped me get more fit. Also, regular parkour outings, trying everything, repetition and all, really helps build up the correct muscles. Just make sure you are doing the movements correctly. If you need anything else don't hesitate to give me a message.

And if you find nothing of interest at urbanfreeflow, just check out some other traceur's or traceuess' workouts. I am sure you could find one at your level. I hope you find somethinthat will work for you. Core strengthening is definitely a plus =)

And if you find nothing of interest at urbanfreeflow, just check out some other traceur's or traceuess' workouts. I am sure you could find one at your level. Steve, you're acting a bit too high and mighty for my taste, and being a moderator, you shouldn't be the one with such an obvious tone (even for the internet) of degradation for others. Rainer offered to drop it with no harsh feelings, yet you kept up with it. It's obvious we have "reading comprehension," so don't make us appear less than yourself. Also, the smile was completely unnecessary.

When I see incorrect information I call people on it. While this is obviously a very, very, very trivial matter I don't appreciate people attempting to criticize me for calling you and him out on his mistake.
And yes, this is apparently a reading comprehension issue. Yes, I have brain farts at times too; I'm not perfect. But at least admit to your mistake instead of digging yourself a bigger hole. This will help out IMMENSELY not just on the internet but in real life.

Regardless of who is right in this issue, I can't help but to wonder what impression we're leaving on the new guy who posted this thread.
